Aristo: Swiss Movement with Micro-Rotor - ARISTO AR2538 Harley

Now there is the dial variant "Pilot". Under the designation AR2538 Harley, there are only 50 pieces in the two dial variants: Observer and Pilot.

Special series of 50 pieces with rare Harley 2538 self-winding movement

Already in 2003, Aristo CEO Hansjörg Vollmer caused a sensation when he launched the AWARD 2003, a series of 500 pieces with the Ronda automatic movement Harley 2538, which was produced from 1981 to 1989. Now Vollmer strikes again.

The rare movement with the unusual micro-rotor is housed in the same case as the UNITAS 6300. Only 50 pieces of this model will be produced under the designation AR2538Harley.

The 11 1/2 line movement works with 21,600 vibrations per hour, which corresponds to a frequency of 3 Hertz. It is equipped with reliable Incabloc shock protection and regulated to a maximum of + 10 sec/day. The power reserve is 40 hours. The movement is nickel-plated in the standard finish as it was delivered at the time. Only the rotor and movement retaining ring are given a perlage finish in the ARISTO workshops.

Proven case technology: 47 mm case, hand-polished, with sapphire crystal on top and an XL mineral glass back on the bottom, water-resistant to 5 atm, equipped with a grippy 8 mm onion crown, luminescent numerals and hands with Superluminova luminous material. A hand-sewn vintage leather strap by Kaufmann completes the model.

ARISTO: Chronographs with Sellita SW 500

Swiss made precision combined with Pforzheim watchmaking tradition

The chronograph design of the new series has been revised. The timepieces are powered by the Swiss chronograph movement Sellita SW 500 and assembled in our workshops in Pforzheim. They, therefore, bear the label "Made in Germany".

Aristo CEO Hansjörg Vollmer: "We manufacture every single watch with great care and use only Swiss quality movements. Every ARISTO model combines the latest Swiss Made precision with Pforzheim watchmaking tradition".

The Sellita SW 500 has 25 jewels, 28,800 A/h, Incabloc shock protection, is equipped with a Glucydur balance and fine regulation. The rotor has a new design and, thanks to a higher oscillating weight, is more efficient than that of comparable chronograph movements.

ARISTO: Observation Watches unbranded

The observation watches "VINTAGE PILOT" and "VINTAGE BEOBACHTER" look as if they had seen several uses. Their stainless steel cases are completely coated with PVD bronze, as if they had developed this beautiful patina over the years. The slightly worn-looking leather strap with rivets – and handmade in Germany – matches it. The hands and indexes have a cream-coloured Superluminova coating that glows in the dark for a very long time. Inside the watch ticks the Swiss automatic movement Ronda R150.

Dimensions: Ø approx. 42 mm, case thickness approx. 11 mm. If it has to be a pilot's watch – why not one with a historical look? The watches are equipped with sapphire crystal and an 8 mm fluted crown, a closed back with engraving and serial number.

The recommended retail price is 650,- Euro.

Triple XL edition of observation watches

Ever since renowned manufacturers and brands began to specialise in their respective strengths, joint projects have been common in the watch industry. A typical example of such a cooperation is the interpretation of the German Air Force's "B Watch", a classic among pilot watches, in an unprecedented size.

When two classics of watch and aviation history work together, the result must also be something to be proud of. With the mix of ARISTO and Messerschmitt, the name of this watch series already says it all:  Triple XL-Edition.

The Triple XL-Edition is a pilot's watch with a case diameter of 65 mm. The rest of the dimensional data identifies these timepieces as very distinctive men's watches. The second hand alone is 25 mm long and originally comes from a dial indicator.

The strap is 30 mm wide and the onion crown is 10 mm thick. The series is marked on the back and consecutively numbered with a serial number, like the observation clocks of the German Luftwaffe at that time.

Hansjörg Vollmer, Managing Director of ARISTO, explains: "We designed the two dial variants and the case in response to explicit requests from men with large wrists and collectors, and we use it exclusively for the Triple XL edition." Indeed, this watch achieves the greatest attention and conversation due to its size, which has never been offered before.

Before the Corona crisis, we started to redesign the meeting and showroom in Pforzheim's Erbprinzenstrasse. We now had enough time to complete this according to the Corona rules. A minimum distance of 1.5 metres is guaranteed. There is a disinfection station in the entrance area and masks are available for visitors. From now on, you can look at our clocks, make collection templates and place orders here every day from Monday to Friday.

COVID19 has now also arrived in our city of Pforzheim. Protective measures have been taken to contain the virus, which fundamentally changes daily life. Due to these orders, our showroom in Erbprinzenstrasse is closed with an immediate effect and guided tours of our premises will not take place until further notice. All necessary protective measures have been implemented in our company to ensure the health of our employees and also the business operations. Thus, watches will continue to be manufactured in our workshops and the entire range of products from Milanaise bracelets to carbon bracelets will be produced in our metal bracelet factory.
Our sales and service departments can still be reached during the usual business hours. The field service has been discontinued and customer support is provided by telephone and e-mail.
